SGK Academy explains money, global business and the technology people use to work with both.

SGK stands for Skills, Growth & Knowledge. We publish for independent professionals, business owners and curious readers who want to understand a decision before making it: how a payment moves, what a stablecoin represents, which questions matter before forming a company, or where an AI workflow needs a person to check the result.

What you can learn here

Our guides connect an explanation to something you can use: a worked calculation, comparison, decision framework or checklist. Start with the underlying mechanism, then examine the costs, dependencies and limits. When a topic depends on your country or circumstances, the article says where the general explanation ends.

The six desks cover crypto, finance, payments, global business, AI and software and security. Start Here groups the first guides into reading paths.

How we work with evidence

Articles link to the sources supporting material claims. We prefer the relevant regulator, registry, filing, issuer terms or product documentation for facts within that source’s scope. A company’s statement remains attributed to that company; it is not presented as an independent guarantee.

Examples use clearly labelled fictional figures when the purpose is teaching a calculation or workflow. A test design is described as a test design. We do not present an unrun experiment as a product benchmark or invent first-hand experience.

Each launch guide includes a source-review date. That date records the review made for the article, not a promise that every rule, fee or product feature remains unchanged. Check current primary documents before a consequential decision.

Our team

Our contributors write under editorial pen names. Alex Rowan covers finance, crypto and payments; Morgan Hale focuses on global business; Casey Reed writes about AI, software and security.

What “Academy” means

Academy describes our learning format: connected guides that help readers build understanding over time. SGK Academy does not offer accredited qualifications, professional licences or certificates through this site.

Financial, company and technology articles provide general education. They cannot account for every reader’s legal, tax, financial or security circumstances. Use the evidence and questions to prepare for your own decisions and, where needed, a conversation with a qualified professional.

Read our Terms for use of the material and our Privacy page for the site’s current data practices.
